#chilipawty 2018 is Fundraising Using A "Paypal Money Pool"

I'm making some changes to the donations this year. Here are my reasons.

• Youcaring has been bought by GoFundMe
  
• There is a 7.9% fee per transaction that includes a 5% GoFundMe fee and a 2.9% payment processor's fee. (This may change in the future.)
  
• GoFundMe takes 30¢ per transaction. This pretty much eats up any small donations.
  
• GoFundMe wants the recipient to establish a WePay account. WePay is a PayPal alternative that I haven't tried out yet.
  

I'm trying a new service this year, PayPal Money Pools. The money you donate is kept separate from my personal PayPal account and at the end of the campaign I will transfer the money directly to Bend Snips. @BendSnips and @Danapixie will tell you when the money is transferred.

• PayPal is a trusted company that uses advanced encryption for transactions.
  
• PayPal charges nothing NOTHING for anipals to donate via their PayPal accounts.
  There is a small fee for donating via credit card.
  

The big minuses of PayPal Money Pools are

• Donors must have a PayPal account
  
• PayPal Money Pools don't have web page widgets yet
